  • B.Sc. (Chemical Engg).from BIT, Sindri. (Ranchi University). First Division, Year of passing: 1978


Presently Heading an organization * VIVEK INTERNATIONAL*, a proprietorship company in the field of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. (EPC Projects)

Joined Instrumentation Limited in 1981 as Management Trainee and thereafter continued in regular employment, holding various positions in Sales, System Design, Marketing, Contracts, etc. Till 26th May, 2011, heading the Marketing Unit as AGM & Head(Mktg) of the Company having Branch Offices in all Metros and responsible for acquisition of Business for all IL products and execution of Knowledge based jobs and services and playing the important role in fulfilling the Company's overall targets related with performance.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsible for company's operations, development and growth
  • Business Acquisition for all product ranges
  • Business Development
  • Formulation of marketing strategies
  • Execution of customer orders
  • Money realisation from customers
  • Identifying thrust areas for business
  • Locating business associates i.e. collaborators, leading technology providers etc.
  • Developing suitable business arrangements of marketing tie-ups, joint
  • Business cooperation, etc.

Responsibilities in HSCL
Heading the Marketing & Project Unit of Western Region as General Manager and responsible for order booking and Turnover of EPC/PMC Projects. The major activities are as follows:

  • 1. All operations of Western Region.
  • 2. EPC Projects.
  • 3. ARM & Special repair jobs
  • 4. Project Management Consultancy
  • 5. Corporate Account Management.
  • 6. Submission of offers, techno-commercial discussions, finalisation of orders and Payment realization.

  • 1. In view of stiff competition and receding business scenario, introduced the concept of EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects in the company. This has resulted in generation of business & revenues for the company and has opened new avenues for future business.
  • 2. DETAILS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS Instrumental in Company's entry into "Offshore" business at ONGC resulting in the business of Rs.500 Crores in a span of twelve years. A significant achievement, taking into consideration the fact that for the first time in the history of company's existence, business was generated in the offshore field, thus opening "sea of business opportunities".
  • 3. Out of the twelve years of working at western region (Mumbai) office, the order booking of the branch depicted growth in all the twelve years.
  • 4. As Resident Engineer, successfully erected & commissioned "Data Acquisition System" and renovation of C & I system in 5 X 200 MW units of Obra Thermal Power Station.

Brief about my Responsibilities & Work Profile at various level in Service career:

Major Projects Handled:

  • 1. 5 x 200 MW Units of Obra Thermal Power Projects of UPSEB.
  • 2. 2 x 210 MW Unit of Vindhyachal TPS of NTPC.
  • 3. Coke Oven Battery-6, 7, 8 of Bokaro Steel Plant, SAIL.
  • 4. Auto-clave automation at M/s. Transchem Ltd., Talegaon (Pune).

ONGC (Offshore) Projects:

  • 1. Refurbishment of Fire damaged Control Room at BHF Platform.
  • 2. Refurbishment of Chemistry Laboratory at BHS Platform.
  • 3. Revamping & HVAC of Switchgear room & Revamping of ODAG room, Machine shop, Battery Room at BHF Platform.
  • 4. Supply, Replacement, Servicing of Lights, Lighting Fixtures, Cable Trays, JBs etc at BPA & BPB Platform. Structural modification job for deployment of Modular Rigs for 22 platforms.

Highest single order booked for an amount of Rs.142 crores from ONGC for Structural modification job for deployment of Modular Rigs for 27 platforms in F.Y.09-10.
